THE SMALL PRINT, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

Your game, your browser.

HueFlash has no player accounts. Solo and daily progress is saved on your device. Friend-room progress and scores are saved in the game database for the lifetime of the room.

What is saved on your device

HueFlash uses local storage for your sound preference, chosen nickname, daily progress, recent completed games, personal best, daily streak and a private access token for each friend room you join. This lets you return to your result without signing in. It is specific to your browser and does not sync between devices. Clearing site data removes it. Private browsing or browser settings may prevent it from being saved.

Shared friend rooms

A shared room link contains a random room identifier. The game database stores the room’s color-set identifier, difficulty, creation and expiry times, participant nicknames, submitted color picks, progress and calculated scores. Anyone with the link can see the room’s nicknames, progress and completed scores and may join while it is available. Use a nickname you are comfortable sharing.

A player access token stays in your browser, and only its hash is saved in the database. It authorizes your submissions and, for the host, starting the room. The shared link does not contain that token. Room access expires 24 hours after creation. Expired records are removed by cleanup; a scheduled cleanup job can remove them even without new site visits.

Older score-comparison links may contain nicknames and color picks in the part of the URL after the hash character. Those links expire after 24 hours and do not create a database room. Expiry does not erase links or screenshots another person has already copied.

Hosting and technical requests

Opening a website sends technical information, such as your IP address, browser details and requested page, to its hosting infrastructure. The host may process request logs to operate and protect the service. HueFlash does not currently add advertising scripts, third-party analytics, external fonts or social-media tracking to its game pages.

Messages you send us

The contact form asks for your name, reply email and message. It submits through FormSubmit for email delivery. That service processes the form and may use a verification step to prevent spam. Do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in a message. Contact information is used to read and respond to the request.

Sharing your score

When you tap Share, your browser may open its sharing menu. You choose the recipient or app. If that is unavailable, you can copy the text yourself. Saving a score card creates an image in your browser. HueFlash does not upload that image to a game server.
